2026 Kickoff POVs

My favorite part of Kickoff was finding out it was a shooter game because I had been wanting one as my senior year game. I worked super hard to plan the whole event, and it was tough making sure we ran on time, especially because we had to plan events without knowing the game. I learned a lot about critical thinking on games and how to think outside of my committee. It was also super fun doing and running activities on brainstorming and finding out small details and ways to play the game.

My favorite part of Kickoff was developing archetypes for the robots that we can potentially see at competition, and robots that we could narrow down to build as a team. It was fun getting to brainstorm personas for these robots, and we learned how to apply these to the mock game organized by the mentors. It was really nice to see everyone using the archetypes they made themselves as the role they were gonna play for the mock game. I look forward to seeing our robot come together in these next few weeks, and making its debut in our first competition!

This is my first Build Season, and so far it's been really exciting! It’s really interesting to learn and bond with all of the other committees. I’m in Business, and we have been working hard to upload videos of our progress, update the website, and design the team’s t-shirts and buttons this year. Overall, I’m excited to see what else I’ll learn during build season!
