2025 Showcase POVs
My favorite part of this year’s showcase was seeing everyone’s hard work come together. From prepping the robot to practicing their presentations, all Janksters were very well prepared which allowed for a smooth event. Throughout the event, I enjoyed answering questions and engaging with attendees as a Showcase tour guide. Looking forward, I am excited to move into our upcoming competition season with this same momentum and energy!

Showcase was an unforgettable experience, with my favorite part being the chance to meet new people and talking to my teammates' families. It was exciting to be able to meet people and share how exciting this experience was. I learned a lot about the importance of teamwork and collaboration, seeing how everyone's contributions came together to make this season a success. Looking forward, I'm excited to see our team's hard work come to life when our robot takes the field in future competitions.

Showcase has been one of the biggest highlights of this year’s robotics season for me. My favorite part of the event was watching my teammates speak with passion as they explained their work to parents, mentors, and visitors. Leading up to the event, the biggest challenge I had was breaking down the complex and technical aspects of our work into digestible explanations to those without prior robotics experience. Through this process, I learned to adapt my wording based on technical background, age, time constraints, and attention spans. Overall, I had an amazing time presenting the electronics committee’s contributions, and I am excited to finish the competition robot in the coming weeks!!!

As a rookie, this was my first year participating in the Janksters' annual Robotics showcase. I was a bit nervous about it at first, thinking I'd mess up my lines, but it went much smoother than I expected. After multiple groups came up to my station, my lines became easier to recite as time went on. I also enjoyed seeing all the new and familiar faces as people entered the AT lab, recognizing both my own and other people's families. Something that stuck with me from Showcase is that preparation is essential leading up to a big event such as this. Now that I've got this experience under my belt, I am looking forward to next year's Robotics showcase, so that I may apply what I learned from this year.
