First Lego League POVs

I love volunteering for the First Lego League competitions because it's inspiring to see the kids working together to find technology based solutions for fun puzzles. These puzzles are then linked to real world problems for the students to learn about. Seeing them get excited and compete with each other, I am reminded about how I did the same thing when I was in elementary school, and how the creative solutions we came up with made me more knowledgeable about issues in the world around me. We get to talk to the kids and answer their questions about what it's like to continue down the robotics path. Helping out with running the event makes things easier and more fun for everyone involved!

Having the opportunity to help out with FLL was an amazing experience. This is my second year doing it and every year it's always enjoyable to see young students get really involved and excited in robotics. While I didn't interact with the teams much, many of the younger siblings of the members of the teams came up to me and asked questions about Lola or robotics in general. It was so fulfilling to see that many of the kids were inspired by Lola and what the team was able to accomplish in just six weeks.
