Build Season Week 4 POVs

I spent most of Week 4 working on a design for cable management. It was a daunting task, given my level of experience, but working on cable management allowed me to expand both my soft skills and my technical knowledge. Throughout the week I was able to (along with the help of many veterans) figure out the configuration of cable management and find possible mounting areas. Next week, I intend to work on making mounts for the wire track as well as solidifying the specifics on cable management.

One of the challenges I faced this week was getting the article for the team website to be just right. We needed a lot of detailed information in the article, so we had to look for various people to write down their thoughts. I also struggled with the wording of the article, so it took a while to make revisions and edits. I learned to be assertive in scoping out and asking people for their statements, as well as being patient in writing. My favorite part of the week was working on the mentor gifts. Cutting out and building the boxes was fun and the product was cute. I look forward to making more progress on this project and planning for giveaways and articles.

I learned a lot in this week of build season. I liked working with my peers and having the ability to learn from those I work with. I also learned about calculating for electronics and the amount of air tanks needed for the amount of pistons on the robot. The math was challenging, but working on something new was a lot of fun.
